in turn, is studied once again
it's a shocking bit of footage

stormy weather on 2004-06-13

Thank God, yesterday I didn't end up in the men's room at the library with any guys. It was awful close. Tornadoes.

At lunch time, I knew something was up back in the North west, but it looked like it would miss us. And even then it looked like a summer shower just popped up.

By the time I had to go back to work, the black cloud was pushing itself in. You felt like you were in one of those King Arthur movies where maybe some curse was on the land, you know. The wind kicked in. People were outside watching the cloud. Some guy honked at me for no reason at all. I hate that shit.

So then it was intense on the rest of the afternoon. Shelly, had the TV on. All she could fume about were the tornadoes north of here. But it started to thunder. Thankfully, we didn't have a power surge until near the end of the day. But it was one thunderstorm after another. Nonstop.

However, we did manage to make it to the theater to see Kill Bill Vol. 2. Even then the thunder roared over the movie from time to time. (Yeah, I know, what were we thinking???) But this was Uma, you know. Got to see my Uma.

Yeah, this film was different that the first in a lot of ways. More emotionally. It felt longer too. More intense dialogue, you know. And then a bit more "horror" too. Like I was climbing my seat practically when she's put in that coffin alive. But it all worked out in the end, though.

I hear there will be a Kill Bill vol.3 set 10 years in to the future. This will be about the little girl who wants to kill Uma because she killed her mother. But how can they make a movie like that without Bill, huh? David Carridine was cool, though. He had some great lines.

But I still like the first one best. I guess because I can watch it all I want to. Can't wait til the second one comes out on video.

i'm not that guy
