![]() a bookshelf sinks into the sand & a language learned & forgot, in turn, is studied once again it's a shocking bit of footage viewed from a shitty TV screen notes my Kelly on 2007-03-02 I'm exhausted. I know its not as bad as it could be, but believe me the whole snow thing is bad enough. The wind howled last night. It kept me awake most of the night. I catnapped. Plus, there was Becca, clinging to me like a wet wash cloth. Maybe that was it. No, I swear this building makes the creepest noises when the wind gets like this. I felt like I was in the pit of an old pirate ship. Just when I'd drift off to sleep, the sounds of wind and creaking wood jerked me awake. Everybody showed up for work today, but Steph who's still in Lincoln. I'm not sure what's up with that, but she won't be back til sometime mid week. Then at work, everyone was cheering me on, "You made it in, yesterday?" It seems traffic was tied up everywhere on the interstate. Some of the time it closed down. The snow was so heavy. Becca got her car stuck. She ended up staying here. Nothing happened. Actually. It didn't help that Kyle showed up. Finally. It was all so awkward. Mainly, we sat around and watched TV. Mostly, everything was a repeat. But I loved the episode of The Office - where they think they're losing their jobs, but then they don't. And Michael & Dwight somehow feel they saved the day when instead they were waiting for the President of the company to come home, but he never does. That look on Michael's face when he's trying to keep it together as he's telling everyone, "You don't have jobs..." Priceless. When I thought of Kelly on The Office I thought of Becca. She's my Kelly. | ||||
