Picking up leftovers as we went. Went to my Dad's first. Very small gathering. Lance was there without his kid, but he brought along someone he's seeing now, some woman he kind of works with, or doesn't anymore. Kind wasn't following. Then we went over to see her relatives. By then the turkey set in. Believe me I wanted a nap so bad. We ate pecan and pumpkin pie, and drank way too much Southern Comfort in various drinks. Had off yesterday. Got up early just to get into the Chrismas Rush. We didn't really buy that much. A couple of movies at Target that were dirt cheap, but that was for us. Selfish asses we are. Saw Maybe with her sisters. That was strange and cold. It was if I wasn't there, but she knew I was there, and I can see clearly she hates me. Always will. I have to get use to that. Then we went to see "No country for old men." Fasinating movie, holds true to the book. The psycho hitman is so creepy. Its Cohen Brothers at their best, except you are wishing more of a Cohen Brothers ending, and yet this movie hits you on so many levels. Its more than a Cohen Brothers movie. I think we are going to clean the bedroom. I promised I'd help. If we can get some sort of order in that room, I promised Becca we'd go look at kittens. She wants a kitten so bad. And if things go all right with the kitten, then we might start thinking about starting a family. Silly, huh? I'm just hoping the kitten will at least give her some sort of motherly satisfaction at the moment. We aren't very good with plants. | ||||
